About the Product

What is the NeverSoft™ pump cap?

NeverSoft™ is a solar powered automatic air pressure management pump cap that replaces the existing valve cap on your inflatable boat tubes. It continuously monitors and maintains your tube pressure so your boat is always ready when you are.

How do the caps work?

Please see the “How it Works” tab on this website.

Can I pump up my boat from flat?
No.  It is recommended to inflate your boat close to the  manufacturers rated maximum pressure before installing the NeverSoft™™ caps.
How many NeverSoft™ caps do I need?

One cap per chamber. Most inflatable boats have 3 to 7 chambers. Check your owner’s manual or count your existing valve caps to determine how many you need.

What pressure settings do I need to set them to?

Some inflatables have their maximum tube pressure listed by the valve.  If not, consult with a dealer who sells your boat brand.  You may also reference the table at the bottom of this page.  Please note that the information on this table is provided for guidance only and has not been verified with all inflatable boat manufacturers.  Please read disclaimer.

What happens if I cover my boat?

If the boat is covered while not in use, the fully charged battery will continue to operate the pump (if needed) until the boat is uncovered for its next use.

Why are the LEDs flashing during the day.

Flashing LEDs during the day means the battery is charging.

Does it have a safety feature to prevent over-inflation?

Yes. Every NeverSoft™ cap includes a built-in 4 PSI pressure relief valve that automatically releases excess pressure to prevent tube damage.

Will it sink if I drop it in the water?

No. NeverSoft™ is designed to float.

Compatibility

Will NeverSoft™ fit my boat?

NeverSoft™ is available in three valve versions — Halkey-Roberts, Summit, Leafield C7/D7, and Zodiac Z Nautic.

How do I know which valve type my boat uses?

If you are unsure of the valve type of your boat, either check the boat’s owner manual or contact an inflatable boat dealer who sells your brand.  You may also reference the table at the bottom of this page.  Please note that the information on this table is provided for guidance only and has not been verified with all inflatable boat manufacturers.  Please read Disclaimer.

Does NeverSoft™ work on older inflatable boats?

Yes. As long as your boat uses one of the three compatible valve types, NeverSoft™ will work regardless of the age of your boat. It is an ideal retrofit upgrade for existing boats.

Does it work on all tube types — hypalon, PVC, and urethane?

Yes. NeverSoft™ works with any inflatable tube material. The valve type determines compatibility, not the tube material.

Installation & Use

How do I install NeverSoft™?

Installation is simple — Simply unscrew your current cap and screw on the NeverSoft™ cap.  NeverSoft™ screws onto your existing valve stem exactly like your current valve cap. No tools required. Installation takes seconds per cap.

Do I need to set the pressure level?

Yes. Before first use you select the pressure mode that matches your boat manufacturer’s recommended tube pressure. This is a one-time setup. Refer to the Installation and Programming tab for instructions.

Does it work while I'm on the water?

Yes. NeverSoft™ maintains pressure continuously whether your boat is stored, on a trailer, or on the water.

Performance & Benefits

Why does tube pressure matter so much?

Consistently maintained pressure is the single most important factor in inflatable boat tube longevity.  Under-inflated tubes flex excessively causing delamination and seam stress — the leading cause of early tube failure.  Over-inflation risks blowouts.  NeverSoft™ keeps pressure in the optimal range at all times.

How does proper pressure affect boat performance?

Properly inflated tubes maximize hull rigidity which directly improves fuel efficiency, top speed, stability, and ride comfort.  Many boat owners notice a significant performance improvement simply from consistently correct tube pressure.

Does NeverSoft™ balance pressure between chambers automatically?

Yes. NeverSoft™ monitors and maintains each chamber independently, and the system auto-balances pressure between chambers for a stable and even ride.
